The Master’s Squad is for swimmers aged 18 years old or over with approximately 30 members ranging in ability and interest.

The squad includes members who swim for fitness and socialising, while others take part in local and regional-level masters swimming competitions, triathlons up to and including the full distance (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run), and other multi-event disciplines such as aquathlon, duathlon and SwimRun, as well as non-aquatics events, including running races of varying distances.

In the warmer months, several swimmers swim in the sea at Lee-on-the-Solent or in a lake at Lakeside Country Park, Eastleigh.

The Squad has 3 coached sessions a week, all held at Wildern Leisure Centre in Hedge End, at the following times:

​

• Tuesday 5:30 - 6:30 AM

• Wednesday 9:00 - 10:00 PM

• Saturday 6:45 - 7:45 AM

​

All members are required to hold Swim England membership at either Club Train or Club Compete level, which is paid annually. Further information about the different Swim England membership categories is available from the Swim England website.

In addition to the Swim England annual membership, the monthly club membership fee is £26.00, payable by direct debit. You will also receive a Wildern Waves swimming hat when you join.
